Not much, it must be admitted.
In case you don't know who he is, look here.
We both have white hair.
We both know how to operate a sewing machine.
I can't even bring myself to claim that "we both sew" because even after 56 wonderful years of home sewing, I can't begin to compare what I do with what he does.
No, dear readers, it is something much more obscure. And much sillier.
We both own a Florian pinker.
I was tickled to learn this. I don't use mine but I love the funky weirdness of it. I blogged about it a while ago.

So how do I know this? Blogger Peter Lappin of Male Pattern Boldness recently spent time with Mr. King in his studio and posted a picture of the Florian.
King's Florian looks new, but mine is vintage. The original owner noted the purchase date on the back of the box: 1946. But apparently they are still being made in the U.S.A.
I've always loved my Florian. Now I love it even more because Kenneth D. King has one too. I admit it, I'm a fangirl.
I told you this was silly. You can consider this as my version of tweeting (which I don't do) at 3 a.m.

Haaaaaa, I love it! Have a great day!!! HUGGGGGs
ReplyDeleteNo clue if mine is a Florian, but, it looks just like the last picture, including the color. Mine is vintage, too.
ReplyDeleteOh good heavens. Now I have to find one of these (despite the fact that I have 2 very adequate pinking shears already). Because you and Kevin King have them!
ReplyDeleteBeen admiring your stuff for a while now. Waving from Saxapahaw! :-)
